* Zombies

Survival
In Survival, there are no main antagonists beyond the usual random events.

Traitor
A number of random crew members, based on current server population, will defect from Nanotrasen and become traitors!

There is 1 traitor for every 10 players with a maximum of 12 traitors.
You need at least 5 players to have a chance for this game-mode to be chosen.

The gamemode selects your fellow crewmates to be syndicate agents, with the goal of completing three or four objectives using various means such as, but not limited to:

* Breaking into secure areas on the station
* Cutting wires and destroying substations
* Stealing items from department heads
* Murdering your fellow crew mates

Nuke Ops
Your station has been targeted by Elite Syndicate Nuclear Operatives (Nuke Ops), otherwise simply known as nukies, who want to detonate a nuclear fission warhead inside!

There is 1 operative for every 10 players with a maximum of 5 operatives.
You need at least 20 players to have a chance for this game-mode to be chosen.

When the nuke detonates, the crew loses.<br>
When the Nuclear Operatives are eliminated, a shuttle is automatically called and the Nuclear Operatives loses.

<!--== Revolutionaries ==
In Revolutionaries a number of the crew's members will defect from Nanotrasen and desire to overthrow the station for themselves. These are the Head Revolutionaries. They can use flashes to convert other members to join the revolution. Their goal is to kill all of the heads of the station.

There is 1 Head Revolutionary for every 30 players with a maximum of 2 Head Revolutionaries.
You need at least 15 players to have a chance for this game-mode to be chosen.

When the Head Revolutionaries are killed, every Revolutionaries automatically remembers their allegiance to Nanotrasen.<br>
When the Heads of Staff are all killed, a shuttle will automatically be called.
-->
Zombies
In Zombies, some members of the crew become Initial Infected. The Initial Infected have the option to turn into full-on zombies at any time but have a grace period of 5 to 7.5 minutes before they start taking damage automatically. The goal of the infected is to infect as many people as possible, overrunning the station with zombies by the end.

There is 1 Zombie for every 10 Players with a maximum of 3 Zombies.

When 50% of the crew ends up being infected, a shuttle will automatically be called.

Standard Interactions (left-click)
Left clicking is the most general way of interacting with objects. The specific interaction will depend on the currently held item, and the current combat-stance. Some interactions require empty hands, some require a specific item.

Examples include:
* Clicking an item with an empty hand will pick it up
* Clicking a chem-dispenser with a beaker will insert the beaker
* Clicking a vending machine with a wrench will un-anchor it
* Clicking on yourself while holding food will make you eat some. Clicking other people will try to force them to eat it.
* Clicking something with combat mode on will attempt to attack the entity

If no other interaction takes place, left clicking will also attempt to "activate" an entity.

Activation interactions (E)
This is a group of interactions that are independent of the currently held item, and generally don't require the item to be in your hands to work.

Examples include:
* Opening and closing things (doors, lockers, crates, etc)
* Toggling user interfaces (backpacks, computers, etc)
* Turning entities on or off (mag-boots, welders, t-ray scanners, etc)

As mentioned before, If no other interaction takes place when left-clicking an entity, these activation interactions may occur instead. So if you left-click a door with an empty hand, it will open it. But if you are holding a lit-welder it will attempt to weld it shut instead. You can still open the door without swapping hands by using E instead of left-clicking.

Alt-click interactions ((alt+left-click))
alt+left-clicking an item is used for alternative-interactions.
Common examples include:
* Ejecting an item (ID-card from a PDA, magazine from a gun, etc)
* Halving a stack
* Locking a locker or secure crate
* Climbing onto a table
* Carrying someone

Use-in-hand (Z)
Some interactions require you to interact with the currently held item. This can be done by clicking on the item in the hands GUI, or by just using the Z key.
Examples include:
* Opening a soft-drink can
* Eating food
* Gripping a fire-axe with both hands
* Opening & closing the bolt of a gun.

If you use alt, it will behave as if you had alt+left-clicked the item in your hands.

Physics Dragging
ctrl+left-clicking an entity will start dragging it.
ctrl+right-clicking while dragging something will move it to the clicked location.
you can stop dragging by:
* ctrl+left-clicking it again
* clicking the dragging alert on the RHS
* pressing H

Drag-And-Drop
Some interactions require you to click and drag entities. These are generally interactions that involve "using" players, which obviously don't fit into your hands. Examples include:
* Dragging yourself onto a table will have you climb it
* Dragging another player onto yourself will allow you to take items and clothing from their inventory.
* Dragging a mob onto a chair will buckle them onto it
* Dragging a mob into the medical scanner will place them inside of it.

Entity Menu (right-click)
Right-clicking in the world will open the entity-menu. This menu makes it easy to interact with a specific item when it is difficult to get to (e.g., a cluttered table).

If you right click an entry in the entity-menu (or just any entity in your inventory), this will bring up the verb menu. This verb menu has every possible interaction with the entity, including the various keybindings, such as e or ctrl+left-click.

Verb Menu (right-click entities in the inventory or entity-menu)
This menu brings up a list of various actions you can perform on an item. The available verbs generally depend on the targeted entity, the currently held item, and the users distance to the item.

Many of the interactions listed there can be executed via some other key bindings, but some are exclusive to the verb-menu. The menu is useful when you are unsure about what interactions an entity has. If you are not sure about how to do something, its worth checking the verb-menu.

Tips
The verbs in the menu are sorted into 4 groups:
* Interaction verbs appear with bold + italic text. They generally correspond to interactions that can be triggered by left-clicking
* Activation verbs appear with bold-text. They generally correspond to interactions that can be triggered using (E)
* Alternative-interaction verbs appear with italic-text. These ALWAYS correspond to alt-click interactions.
* And finally, there are generic verbs that have regular text.

Within these groups, each verb is sorted by priority. In general, if there is more than one verb associated with an interaction then the verb that appears first in this list should be executed first. For example, in the below image there are two alt-click verbs. alt-clicking the PDA would eject the ID Card first, and then the pen. if you want to eject the pen without ejecting the ID Card, you have to use the verb menu or the PDA UI.

Caveats
Sadly, not all interactions have corresponding verbs in the menu. For example, looking at the PDA-example image might lead you to believe that pressing E will toggle the PDA's flash-light. While true for flash-lights in general, for the PDA it will instead open the UI. The open-UI verb is simply missing, and should appear in the menu above the flashlight verb.

The one exception to this is alt-click verbs. All alt-click interactions appear in the verb menu, and the first one in the menu is always going to be the one that is executed by alt-clicking on an entity.

Alerts
Alerts are the informative icons that appear on the right-hand side of the screen. Hovering over these can (sometimes) provide useful information. Some of these icons will also trigger interactions if you click on them:
* Clicking the hand-cuffs icon will attempt to break out of them.
* Clicking the on-fire alert will stop-drop and roll
* Clicking the buckled-alert will un-buckle yourself from a chair
* Clicking the pulling alert will stop pulling

Actions
Can be bound to numbers ( 1-0)

Some actions are innate, while others requre specific items to be equipped. Example actions include:
* Toggle combat mode
* Toggle disarm mode
* Scream
* toggle gas tank internals
* toggle flashlight

Windows
There are various buttons that can be used to toggle various UI elements. These all can also be toggled by pressing buttons that apppear on the upper left of the screen. These include include:

* esc will open the escape-menu
* C opens the character menu. If you are a traitor, this has information about your objectives.
* I will toggle the inventory for equipping clothing.
* G opens the Construction menu for crafting items and building structures
* K opens the actions-browser, which can be used to customize the actions toolbar
* F7 opens admin tools (only available for admins).
* B Opens the sandbox-menu (only available in sandbox mode).

Miscellaneous Controls
* X swaps the currently active hand
* shift+left-click will examine an entity
* shift+middle-mouse will point at an entity
* Q will drop the currently held item
* ctrl will throw the currently held item
* hold left click when holding some items will bulk left click the item. e.g. garbage bags and plant bags will gather surrounding items into them.
* left click on a table whilst holding a plant bag will empty the bag's contents onto the table.

Quick access backpacks & belts

Known Issues
Duplicate Interactions
Some interactions can be achieved in more than one way. For example you can eat food by either using it in your hands (Z) or by clicking on yourself while holding it. Similarly, you can climb a table by either dragging yourself onto the table or alt-clicking the table.

This is generally done either for key-binding convenience or to make some interactions more intuitive, but may also confuse some players.

Inconsistency
Some interactions are inconsistent. For example, switches can currently not be toggled using "E", and instead require you to interact with them using an empty hand, when they should really function like doors. and other toggle-able entities.

Prioritization
In some instances interactions have bad prioritization which can prevent some interactions from happening. For example, attempting to use a wrench to un-anchor a disposal unit will instead just put the wrench into the disposal unit.

This can often be circumvented using the verb menu, though sadly in this case those interactions are also missing their corresponding verbs.

Welcome to Space Station 14! You and your crewmates have just started your shift aboard a Nanotrasen space station. Each of you has a job to do, hopefully having fun in the process.

Please make sure you understand the Server Rules, which you can see at any time by pressing F1.

If you have any questions:
# Consult this guide
# Consult your colleagues on shift in person, over radio, or via Discord
# Ask Administrators for in-game help (or ahelp) by hitting Escape, selecting Admin Help. This lets you send a message to all online administrators.

You are all a crew of people who work together with some of the crew being psionics. You should not be harming each other unless you have an extremely good reason. Before resorting to violence, call Security over the Radio, and attempt to stun and detain <s>the passenger</s> your assailants. Do not commit murder unless it's your job to.

Reminder that Delta-V is a MRP server and we expect a certain amount of roleplay from you. Here you can find a list of commonly used terms and abbreviations that the community uses.

Gameplay
SS14 is a role playing game at its core — you play as a member of the station crew, which you can customize from the lobby prior to joining the game. From there, you can select the jobs your character performs, what they look like, how people are expected to refer to them, etc. If you're new, try out the Passenger, or Janitor jobs as they are perfect for learning the controls and layout of the station while not being too overwhelmed.

Note about the priority system: The game goes through the jobs one by one, starting with command roles, and checks if anyone has the role set to high, picking randomly between anyone that does. If no one has it set to high, it repeats for medium, then low. Only after command roles are picked does the game fill other roles. Even if you set a command role to low, there is a fair possibility you will have that responsibility.

As soon as you spawn, you’re expected to act as your character, or "In Character" (IC) using the Standard Operating Procedure and follow Alert Procedure. When you’re in character, you forget any knowledge of previous rounds or the world outside; and play as if you're actually a member of the station's crew. This means you treat other players as you would for your respected in real life work colleagues and the station as your workplace. i.e, no rampant killing, harming, stealing, hacking without good reason. Remember that other players are involved, so try to refrain from bad language, harassment, and other poor-roleplay acts.

"Out of Character" (OOC) is the opposite of IC. This includes any conversations you have outside the game world e.g, in the designated OOC chat, in a private message, or a chat with your friends. You shouldn’t discuss the current round or anything that’s IC in OOC channels. Likewise, anything you see or read in OOC must not be used by your character in the game. If one of your friends identifies a traitor, or tells you they’re dying in a certain location, you must ignore it and go about your business as if you don't know. Going to help them is known as metagaming, and will get you banned.

If you suspect a player in game is metagaming (for example, if you're a Traitor and someone kills you before you've done anything to them), you should report them via Ahelp or the Delta-V Discord.

When playing, you talk to other crewmembers, interact with your surroundings, and walk around in areas that you have access. If you get lost, there are Maps online that you can reference.

To summarize, when you’re in game:

<table>
<tr>
<th><b><i>DO</i></b></th>
<th><b><i>DON'T</i></b></th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<ul>
<li>Keep in character.</li>
<li>Act like your character would in the situation.</li>
<li>Ask for help if you need it.</li>
<li>Communicate in-game politely.</li>
</ul>
</td>
<td>
<ul>
<li>Discuss the round elsewhere (until the round is over).</li>
<li>Share information about the round in OOC.</li>
<li>Kill / harm without first reading the Server Rules.</li>
<li>Harass other players (ruin their gameplay).</li>
</ul>
</td>
To give the game a bit of excitement, some players are selected to work against the crew by acting as Antagonist, or antag. There are various types of antags, like traitors and changelings. You can volunteer to play as an antag through the character editor at the start of a game.

Even if you volunteered to be an antag, it is not guaranteed that you will be picked. When a round starts, players will be automatically and randomly selected to fill the antagonist roles. The game will notify them of their assignment in chat. If you're not sure if you've been selected, press C. If you're an antag, you'll have a list of objectives. If not, you're a normal employee.

Being an antagonist is not an excuse to go on a murder spree. Your job is to complete your objectives. On occasion, that will include the assassination of a target. Sometimes it will include escaping alive or dying a glorious death. How you complete your objectives is up to you, but keep in mind that there are other Syndicate agents on the station that have their own objectives. While your objectives take priority and might not always align with theirs, you generally shouldn't recklessly endanger their missions by destroying the station or going on a blind murder spree. If you can manage to identify them, working with them can actually be mutually beneficial!

As always, try to have fun with it! (Ideally, not at everyone's expense... but that’s up to you.)

Responding to Antagonists
If you suspect someone is an antagonist, report them to security as fast as possible, and do what you can to protect yourself. Remember, antagonists are legally people too, so they must be arrested and prosecuted if at all possible.

Self-Antag
Self-Antagonizing (self-antag) is when you are NOT an antagonist, yet you go out of your way to break the law, damage the station, or commit murder. Breaking the law is not inherently self-antagonizing, but attacking your crewmates, attempting to break into high-security areas, and hoarding items your job doesn't need is. Self-antagonizing can and will get you banned.

Unless the game tells you that you are an antagonist, you are a normal member of the crew, and your only objective is to complete the shift in your designated role.

RDM
Random Death Match (RDM) is the act of attempting to kill someone for no reason. The other person is likely an Antagonist if you are being attacked. If you're unsure, ask the admins.
requirements=72 hours of playtime
extendedaccess=Basically anywhere
supervisors=Spider Clan
subordinates=None
duties=Accomplish your mission and sabotage the station.
guides=This is the guide
}}
You are a ninja, but in space. The Spider Clan has sent you to the station to wreak all kinds of havoc, from bolting the armory open and killing the entire station to engaging in a slipping war with the clown and fighting in rage cages.

You must fight with honor. That means no guns, they're for those cowards.

Equipment
You start implanted with a death acidifier, so if you get KIA or seppuku you will leave behind a pool of blood and all your precious equipment is kept out of enemy hands.

Your bag is full of tools for more subtle sabotage, along with a survival box if you need a snack.

You have a jetpack and a special pinpointer that will always point to the station, these will let you actually get to the station.

Ninja Suit
This hardsuit functions as the core of your abilities, it has a internal small power cell which powers all your abilities but the boots and katana's teleport.
This suit has some abilities of it own:
* It can produce throwing stars that do 8 Slash and 10 Piercing damage while also doing 55 stamina damage.
* With the press of a button you can release a EMP blast that will fry any batteries nearby and will cause electronics nearby to malfunction. Note that this consumes an important amount of your battery's power.
* At the cost of a constant power consumption it can make you to enter into a cloaking state, which makes you semi invisible, only been really noticeable as a visual deformation.
* It can also recall your energy katana if needed, at the cost of power proportional to the distance.

Ninja Gloves
These bad boys are your bread and butter.
* They are insulated preventing you from getting shocked on grilles or while hacking doors.
* They can steal power from the grid by using them on an APC, substation, or a SMES.
* Allows you to override an airlock's access (if you click on one), forcing them open (Note that this doesn't work if the door is bolted).
* Stuns anyone you click on as long as it's with a free hand.
* They are needed for three of your objectives.

You have an action to toggle gloves. When the gloves are turned on, they allow you to use it's special abilities, which are triggered by interacting with things with an empty hand and with combat mode disabled.

Energy Katana
A modern Spider Clan weapon modeled after an ancient sword. It's 30 Slash damage and your ability to deflect bullets with it (25% chance of deflection) makes it a formidable weapon.

This sword has 3 charges which allows you to teleport to any place you can see, these recharge every 20 seconds, so plan your teleports in advance to get the upper hand in a fight while allowing you to have a escape teleport.

Spider Charge
A modified C-4 explosive, creates a large explosion but can only be armed in its target area. A random area on the map is selected for you to blow up, which is an objective. You can't manually activate it, so simply plant it on a wall or something. You can change the timer if you need more time to escape, or like the beeping noise. Can't be unstuck once planted.

Ninja Shoes
Last but not least, your sweet kicks. They make you really fast while making you stick to the ground like magboots, unable to be slipped. They also don't require energy to function.

Objectives
You will always have these 3 basic objectives:
* Detonate your spider charge: Plant your spider charge at a random location and watch it go boom.
* Doorjack X doors on the station: Use your gloves to override the access of a random number of doors. You can either be subtle and do it at dorms and maints, or go wild and bolt open the bridge and armory, to the woe of the crew and delight of traitors.
* Survive: This is harder than it sounds, trust me.

Additional objectives you might get are:
* Steal X technologies: Steal technologies from a R&D server. You will have a fixed number of these required, so get researching if there's not enough.
* Call in a threat: Hack a communications console to call in a random threat.
* Set everyone to wanted: Hack a criminal records computer to set everyone to wanted.
* Execute Y person: Kill and obtain their brain, the spider clan wants to make a cyborg out of it. This objective will always target departmental heads
* Teach Z person a lesson: Kill this person but there is no need for you to ensure they are not found, the spider clan wants you to send a clear message to this target.
* Steal the [Object]: The spider clan wants you to retrieve this object from the station.

Tips
*You can chain your throwing stars with slashes from the katana with a glove stun to ensure your opponent can't fight back.
*Medium capacity cells to upgrade your suit can be procured easily in flashlights at emergency toolboxes/lockers.
*High capacity cells can be obtained from seclites which are usually mapped on security outposts.
*The pinpointer gives you advantage in going around in space, take advantage of it when sec can't pursue too far since they will get lost.
*Your kit is meant to win every 1v1 against any enemy, avoid engaging in fights with more than 2 people.
*Batons, lasers and pulse weapons get affected by the EMP, so security might resort to ballistic weaponry once a blast goes off.
*If you get no bomb objective your bomb can be used anywhere.
*Teleports are really valuable, try to go from space to inside the station to foil security pursuers.
*Void jetpacks or the captain's jetpack is a great upgrade over yours, since they can be slotted in the suit slot and have the same capacity as a regular 5L gas tank.
*You're agile, draw security to a place and escape through space or windows for easy access to certain areas.
guides=This is the guide
}}

Objectives
You start with 6 objectives. You are not required to complete them, but your NINJA HONOR (and desire to greentext) demands that you try.

* Doorjack X doors on the station: Use your gloves to override the access of a random number of doors. You can either be subtle and do it at dorms and maints, or go wild and bolt open the bridge and armory, to the woe of the crew and delight of traitors.
* Call in a threat: Hack a communications console to call in a random threat.
* Set everyone to wanted: Hack a criminal records computer to set everyone to wanted.
* Detonate your spider charge: Plant your spider charge at a random location and watch it go boom.
* Survive: This is harder than it sounds, trust me.

Tips

* Detonate your spider charge: Plant your spider charge at a random location and watch it go boom.
* Survive: This is harder than it sounds, trust me.

*You're agile, draw security to a place and escape thru space or windows for easy access to certain areas.

Tips
*You can chain your throwing stars with slashes from the katana with a glove stun to ensure your opponent can't fight back.
*Medium capacity cells to upgrade your suit can be procured easily in flashlights at emergency toolboxes/lockers.
*You're agile, draw security to a place and escape thru space or windows for easy access to certain areas.
Stats
All anomalies have three similar stats and a property - Severity, Stability, Health and Behavior.

*Severity affects the magnitude of an anomaly's passive and pulse effects, and causes a critical event when it reaches 100%. It also affects the anomaly's point output, if it has been assigned to a vessel. In addition, it also impacts the amount of Glimmer generated every time it pulses, generating 5Ψ multiplied by the severity.

*Stability dictates whether or not the Severity stat increases each time a pulse occurs, along with the time period between pulses. Lower stability = less time between pulses.
*Health is a hidden stat not available to the player, and decreases when "containment" particles are used on an anomaly. Once an anomaly reaches 0 health, it simply disappears.
Causes the anomaly injected criticality effect plus the user dies and it's gibbed.

Containment
In the event that an anomaly is in an inopportune location, or is simply too dangerous to be left aboard the station, it needs to be contained. Containment is simply a term for the controlled elimination of an anomaly, and does not connotate any major damage to the surroundings.

Tools
A.P.E (Anomalous Particle Emitter)
The main way in which science manipulates anomalies is the Anomalous Particle Emitter, or APE for short. Several of these can be located in the station's anomalous research lab. The APE can shoot four different types of particles - Delta, Epsilon, Sigma, and Zeta - at an anomaly to affect one of its stats. Simply right click an anchored APE (You can anchor it with a wrench) to select the particle type. The stat which each particle type affects is random between anomalies, so you'll need an Anomaly Scanner to figure that out. Remember to lock the machine to avoid unauthorized hands using it.

Anomaly Scanner
The most important tool in dealing with anomalies as it allows you to know which particles does what to the anomaly. Just equip it in your hands and interacts with the anomaly.
Once an anomaly is scanned, the scanner UI should show the three types of particles, and which effect they correspond to.

*Danger particles will cause an anomaly's severity stat to rise. Use this type to increase the anomaly's point output at the cost of personal safety.

*Unstable particles will cause an anomaly's stability to drop. This type should almost never be used by good-intentioned scientists.

*Containment particles will cause an anomaly's stability to rise, at the cost of anomaly health. Use this type if you want to eliminate the anomaly.

*Transformation particles will cause the anomaly to try to change it's behavior, but it will rise it's severity so be careful with it!

Anomaly Locators
Useful tools that assists you finding an anomaly that you can't find.
+ Types of locators
|| Wide-spectrum anomaly locator || You want to use this tool to find the general area of an anomaly, turn it on and once you're within 40 tiles of the anomaly it will start beeping at a constant rate, it does not beep faster the closer you are to the target.
|| Anomaly locator || You want to use this tool to find the anomaly once you got the area where it's at, turn it on and once you're within 20 tiles of the anomaly it will start beeping at an increasing rate as you get closer to the anomaly.

Behaviors
An anomaly might have some traits we can affect, we call these "Behaviors". They come in different effects:

*Safe: The anomaly pulses after a long time and it's pulses are diminished.
*Slow: Slower pulsing time, shorter than Safe.
*Light: The power of the pulses is reduced.
*Balanced: Nothing is changed, they act as normal.
*Delayed force: Slower pulsing time, but stronger pulse power.
*Rapid: Pulse is faster than normal, but their power is reduced.
*Reflect: Particles might get reflected instead of affecting the anomaly.
*Lower sensitivity: Particles have a reduced effect on the anomaly.
*Sensitivity: Particles have an amplified effect on the anomaly.
*Invisibility: The anomaly becomes invisible but the glow it emits can still be seen and it's sound heard.
*Secret: Errors out information on the anomaly scanner.
*Inconstancy: Each stat affecting particle change per pulse and sometimes per shot.
*Fast: Pulsing speed is increased.
*Strength: The power of the pulse is significantly increased.
*Moving: The anomaly teleports from time to time to a nearby place.

Harvesting
If an anomaly is deemed safe enough to keep around, the next step is to harvest it for research points. An anomaly scanner with an active scan of a still-existing anomaly can be assigned to an Anomaly Vessel, located in the anomalous research lab. These machines will supply the research server with a constant stream of research points, proportional to the severity of the connected anomaly, in exchange for becoming a glimmer source. They can also be upgraded to increase point output.

If an anomaly is becoming too unstable or begins to fizzle out, the vessel will make different sounds and change color to notify the science team. A vessel connected to an anomaly when it goes critical will explode violently, destroying most things nearby but rarely causing a hull breach.

Upgrading your kit
Once you get the advanced anomalous research tech you unlock these, and these tools will greatly help you in your anomaly-farming operation.

C.H.I.M.P. Hand cannon
An alternate method of using anomalous particle technology is the CHIMP, a handheld version of the APE which uses an internal battery (Which can be recharged at Recharger) instead of the station's grid. These are best used during a power outage or as a quick response to anomaly events.

Experimental Anomaly Vessel
The experimental anomaly vessel is your best friend if you plan on maximizing anomaly points. This machine is a upgrade to the normal vessel it doubles the points the anomaly produces but at a cost, it emits radiation when connected to an anomaly so be careful! It's recommended enclosing the vessel in plasma glass to contain the radiation.

Anomaly Synchronizer
If you wanted to automate your anomaly points so you don't have to run to it every time it grows or decays, this machine is your friend. To use it you gotta place it under the anomaly (Or get the anomaly on top of it), click on the synchronizer, link the correct particles to the different "current status" of the anomaly with a multitool or a network configurator and it will take care of the anomaly on it's own. Below is an example on how to set it up.

One of Epistemics' main ways to harvest research points, and the leading cause of headaches in captains of non-coordinated stations. Anomalous Research is a subdepartment of R&D focused around the containment and manipulation of various unique anomalies.

Anomalies
Anomalies are created by the Anomaly Generator, located in the Epistemics department. They can also be generated by random events. The properties of each anomaly vary wildly, but they all share a set of similar characteristics.
*cannot be moved by conventional means (pushing/pulling)
*cannot be interacted with in any meaningful way without the use of anomalous particle acceleration technology
*have passive effects on their surroundings
*perform "pulses", periodic bursts of energy with varying effects based on the type of anomaly
*undergo dangerous "critical events" when their severity stat hits 100%
*can be "harvested" by an anomaly vessel for the passive generation of research points
*pose varying degrees of hazard to the station and the crew
*they may be behave a bit different from a same type of anomaly

*Behavior it's how this anomaly varies from other anomalies from the usual, they can be altered with the transformation particle and may grant benefits or punish you with a worse behavior.

An anomaly going supercritical will also add 100Ψ to the glimmer, so avoid letting them just explode.

An alternate method of using anomalous particle technology is the CHIMP, a handheld version of the APE which uses an internal battery (Which can be recharged at Recharger) instead of the station's grid. These are best used during a power outage or as a quick response to anomaly events.

Stats
All anomalies have three similar stats - Severity, Stability, Health and Behavior.

*Behavior it's how this anomaly varies from other anomalies from the usual, they can be altered with the transformation particle and may grant benefits or punish you with a worse behavior.

An anomaly going supercritical will also add 100Ψ to the glimmer, so avoid letting them just explode.

The most important tool in dealing with anomalies as it allows you to know which particles does what to the anomaly. Just equip it in your hands and interacts with the anomaly.

*Transformation particles will cause the anomaly to try to change it's behavior, but it will rise it's severity so be careful with it!
To use it you gotta place it under the anomaly (Or get the anomaly on top of it), click on the synchronizer, link the correct particles to the different "current status" of the anomaly with a multitool or a network configurator and it will take care of the anomaly on it's own. Below is an example on how to set it up.
