Pretty much the only machine you'll actually need for reverse engineering. Most Epistemics departments start with this, but the Mystagogue usually has a board in their locker if the department doesn't have one.<br />

Items can be placed into the machine to begin analysis, and once that analysis is complete the item will be returned, usually along with a tech disk for the item's recipe (which can be made in the appropriate lathe once inserted into the research server). It will also occasionally sometimes produce a tech disk for a higher level item (i.e. reverse engineering a high-capacity powercell will occasionally produce a disk for a hyper-capacity powercell)<br />

The screen displays various pieces of information about what's being analyzed, as well as what can be done with it, along with buttons performing various functions:<br />
