	Nanotrasen stations commonly have nuclear devices onboard in case of two scenarios, an infestation of the blob which is now suspected to be extinct, or the station had rebelled and the responding SRT/ERT have declared the station unsaveable and chosen to scuttle it instead. This system had a failsafe of premature detonation, it had no software to arm the device loaded onto it. Instead the software to arm it was stored inside of a NAD (nuclear authentication disk). This was commonly kept on the captain or head of security. Alongside this failsafe a code was also required to arm it, this was only given to the station if asked for or when the stations automated systems detected a blob infestation. Unfortunately the machine that randomized the codes to the nuclear devices was not truly random, and after heavy research into Redspace, the Syndicate gained access to codes to Nanotrasen's nuclear devices.

	~~Upon initiating a nuclear raid on a site~~, ~~the marauders would enter into the drop pod~~ and ~~launch themselves at~~ the ~~station~~, ~~crashing a hole through~~ the ~~station~~ and ~~blitzkrieging the nuclear disk to quickly activate the nuclear device~~.		Redspace Cloning was developed in secret by Interdyne. Redspace Cloning, due to its cheap nature, resulted in cloned individuals having genetic deformities that gave enhanced combat and quick reflexes while genetically damaging the user's frontal lobes, particularly the area known as "Broca's Area". Its quirks had not been fully ironed out before Gorlex partnered with Interdyne. After 6 months of the partnership and Gorlex fulfilling its contractual obligations, over 80% of Its workforce had been cloned.

	~~Upon grabbing~~ the ~~disk~~ and ~~activation~~, ~~nuclear~~ operatives are ~~trained to defend~~ the ~~nuclear bomb until it detonates to prevent defusion~~.		Due to their close connections to Cybersun Industries, and their own reservations with Nanotrasen's expansion into the private military space, Gorlex became a founding member of the Syndicate. They now form the sword of the coalition, accepting a hefty paycheck from the Syndicate's collective funding for the trouble. The Marauders are an elite force trained and employed by Gorlex, and cause a lot of trouble for Nanotrasen via coordinated strikes on their stations. The deadliest of the Gorlex operatives are the elite of the elite: The Nuclear Operatives, named for their main method of attack: Nuclear Warfare.

	~~This strategy only works because of Interdyne's newest medical research~~, ~~cloning.~~		While they are an elite force, the Marauders are often poorly disciplined, which has led to Cybersun embedding officers into Gorlex strike teams to maintain discipline within the ranks and keep them on target. This has created an osmosis of ideas throughout the Syndicate, and many motifs originally associated with the Gorlex Marauders have become commonly associated with the entire organisation. This includes, but is not limited to, their blood-red colour scheme, their iconic snake logo (adapted for syndicate use), and, in many ways, their ruthlessness. This has flowed both ways, and the Marauders have learned some new tricks from their allies, like sourcing newer, more powerful weaponry from {IN PROGRESS} or adopting the combat stimulants used by the Tyger Cooperative.
