The '''United Nations Armed Forces''' were formed in 2100 with the signing of [[United Nations of Earth|The United Nations of Earth Concord]]. While a relatively low funded entity, the '''UNAF''' received most of it's funding from small corporations seeking to protect it's outer rim colonies and hauling corporations seeking protection from piracy while en-route to Sol. 

It is documented that in 2155 the '''UNAF''' received a drastic increase in funding by it's private service department of 1.8 billion Spesos, with the prior years only earning 100 thousand spesos on average. It is documented that this was a “lump sum” paid for by multiple large corporations for “protection”, however most of these agencies had their own active security.
