NanoTrasen (NT)

What started out as a relatively small and humble organization tasked by the United Nations in 2055 with exploration and discovery had bolstered itself into possibly the largest single entity in the known galaxy. Using cut-throat business tactics they easily dominated their competition, absorbing many rival corporations into their ranks. They remain the dominant superpower in the research, development, and exploration sectors.

NT is a primarily "Plasma / Phoron" mining company that stumbled upon the noosphere and psionics research. Epistemics was haphazardly created for this,

NT while being the "Discoverer" (Another faction actually discovered and has had this for a while, so think christopher columbus style discovery) Has tried to hide this with "Phoron" and artifact research.

The reason we have artifacts is from an ancient psionic powered race that is originally from the region, but has been seen on the galactic scale.

NT is a notable bad employer, but tries to treat workers in the delta sector rather well due to the massively important psionic research going on on those stations.

Skirt rules, cut corners, overall the cheapest route is the best route.

Nanotrasen

Nanotrasen is the dominant megacorporation of the universe. While ostensibly bowing to Terragov, Nanotrasen separately controls multiple galaxies, holds a monopoly over Plasma research, Laser technology, Psionic technology, and dozens if not hundreds of other industries through a combination of sheer resources, underhanded tactics, and in some cases outright corporate war. There are multiple different stories for Nanotrasen’s origin, however in the hundreds of years since it’s founding along with the immense, bloated, almost unknowable size the only confirmed details are that Nanotrasen started as a small company on earth, and was one of the main drivers of the space race that led to the colonization of the universe.
