Betelgeuse Consortium (BGC)

A long history of trade, oppression and profit tells the story of the Betelgeuse Consortium. Descendants of Old Terran colonists, the Betelgeuse system was a vital system for trade, settled in between most major settled systems. Throughout the chaos of old colonial wars, executives have mostly seized power in Nouvelle Montreal, the capital of the BGC and its surrounding planets and systems.

While the board isnt popular with its rule, its economic power cannot be denied. Many trade stations owe their profits to the BGC and have been largely “bought out”. Dissidence in the BGC is overshadowed by the nations extreme propaganda system. According to the Board of Directors, everyone is happy and healthy within the BGC.

With Interstellar trade, the BGC has one major factor to it's participation, Medical Research and Technology. The BGC is known as the “Powerhouse” of the Medical field, with the most advanced Cybernetic and Healing technologies being marked as proprietary BGC Technology. Nanotrasen regularly trades and purchases these items from BGC.
