Game Modes control exactly how a round will play, and decide whether it'll be a relatively peaceful shift or an instant disaster with no survivors.

Secret

The default game mode is Secret, which randomly picks one of the following game modes below based off their percentage chance.

Types of Game Modes
Gamemode Chance Premise
Traitor 34% A number of random crew members, based on current server population, will defect from Nanotrasen and become traitors!

The gamemode selects your fellow crewmates to be syndicate agents, with the goal of completing three or four objectives using various means such as, but not limited to:

  • Stealing important items from department heads.
  • Murdering your fellow crewmates.
  • Murdering other traitors.
  • Subverting the Station AI.
Survival 28% In Survival, there are no antagonists at round start beyond the usual random events. Mid-round antagonists may still spawn as a result of random events.
Nuclear Operatives 14% Your station has been targeted by Nuclear Operatives, otherwise simply known as nukies. They are hostile terrorists who wish to detonate a nuclear fission warhead and destroy your station!

When the nuke detonates, the round ends and the crew loses. When all of the Nuclear Operatives are dead, a shuttle is automatically called and the Nuclear Operatives lose.

Zombies 8% In Zombies, some members of the crew become Initial Infected, bio-terrorists working under the Syndicate to take over the station by overrunning it with the undead. Initial Infected work together to coordinate their attack and ensure as many infections as possible.

The Initial Infected have the option to turn into full-on zombies at any time but have a grace period before they start taking damage automatically. Without medical intervention, they will inevitably turn into zombies. The goal of the infected is to infect as many people as possible, overrunning the station with zombies by the end.

Cosmic Cult 8% In Cosmic Cult, a handful of crew members start off as Cosmic Cultists. Their goal is to bring the end of the world by summoning their deity known as "The Unknown". They achieve this by using a "Monument", a structure used by the cultists to perform rituals such as converting crew members into cultists. It has several stages from 1 to 4, growing larger with each stage.

The Monument is invisible to non-Cosmic Cultists until it reaches Stage 3.

Xenoborgs 8% Your station has become the target of Xenoborgs, also known as Xorgs. They are vagrant and hostile alien cyborgs whose sole goal is to create more Xenoborgs. They achieve this by utilizing their special spacecraft and special modules that grant them the ability to use weapons.

They abduct crew members, take them to their mothership and extract their brains to be placed in a Man-Machine Interface (MMI) which are then placed into a Xenoborg chassis. The process is repeated. The "Mothership Core" is the one responsible for the creation of Xenoborgs and is located in the heart of the mothership. If the Mothership Core is destroyed, no more new Xenoborgs will be able to be made.
