The Psionic Mantis is the psionic investigator of Epistemics. While they report to the [[Mystagogue]], their ability to locate and identify psionics can be very helpful to security if one is causing trouble. Thus, while a Mantis’ key jobs are to identify the [[Psionics|Psionics powers]] of the crew. The Mantis' main goal should be to make a list of all psionic sophonts on station and if needed also mindbreak them if glimmer gets too far out of hand and Code White is called. Your main ability is Metapsionic pulse which is used to detect psionic activity nearby, every time the noosphere sends out a pulse you should recheck the crew on board. While at first this does seem boring and mind numbing to constantly recheck the 30-80 crew members on station it's as fun as you make it, have a lil fun with it, use it as a chance to talk to people and get better with RP. Whenever you can get a list of all Psionics you find down on paper and show it to the Captain and Mystagogue and stamp it for added razzle dazzle. Your final job should it come down to it is assisting security and the Mystagogue if Glimmer wisps, Revenants, or other mysterious Glimmer related entities appear as your anti-psychic knife is very strong against them.
